Yotopia is the culmination of months of planning to bring Myo-Fit yoga to Londoners, at a prime location, in a luxurious environment at the newly-opened Yotopia (yotopia.co.uk) studio in London’s Covent Garden. Myo-Fit offers a new form of yoga based on scientific research on how the body is best trained to achieve greater flexibility, mobility and strength. The sequences work the myofascia in the body, through spiral movements, pulsation and working all the ‘lines’ of the body equally. Fascia is the body’s webbing of interconnected fibres that hold it together and govern movement and flexibility. Yotopia teachers are the first in the UK to be trained to teach the new yoga style. The new centre is the brainchild of yogi Lisa Campbell who reckons Myo-Fit can greatly enhance any traditional yoga practice. She says the yoga “feels different” to traditional styles, introducing spirals and pulsation, to increase flexibility and range of movement at all levels. “Yotopia is the culmination of months of planning to bring Myo-Fit yoga to Londoners, at a prime location, in a luxurious environment.” Classes take place alongside more traditional styles of yoga, including Ashtanga, Anusara, Acroyoga, Quantum Yoga, Shiva Rea-inspired classes and static and dynamic Pilates, both for beginners and seasoned practitioners. And for those wanting an extra work-out from their session, there are classes using strap-on hand and leg weights, ideal for stressed out Londoners. The plush new yoga spot, in the heart of London’s West End, has two ultra-modern, light and spacious studios, including a hot yoga studio.
