Maurizio Marmorato

maurizio

Maurizio trained and qualified in 2008 in Traditional Hatha Yoga at the ‘Amrita School of Yoga’ in London.

Openly attracted to new forms of movement, Maurizio is instinctively drawn to more dynamic, vigorous, yang type of styles, i.e., Ashtanga, Jivamukti, Anusara. However, in order to find and maintain that inner sense of balance, he does enjoy the challenge of exploring more gentle, introspective, ying types and other forms of practice.

The fruits of his seeking spirit has led him to believe that Yoga has the power to transform people’s desires, needs and point of views towards life into something magic of the utmost importance; his classes reflect a commitment to exploring and meeting those individual needs and to make yoga friendly, fun and accessible to everyone. The positive outcome of his initial years of teaching brought him in 2012 to Goa where he completed the 500 Hours Teacher Training with Quantum Yoga Lara Baumann; and at present he is expanding the boundaries of his knowledge by learning the healing benefits of Thai Yoga Massage, with Ralph Marzen.

In addition to Nigel Gilderson and Chris Gladwell, in the course of his sadhana and teaching experience Maurizio has gained the extraordinary opportunity to learn directly from Ashtanga Masters David Swenson, John Scott and Richard Freeman as well as from London based internationally renown outstanding teachers such as Stewart Gilchrist,Georgina Evans, Lara Baumann, Jeff Phenix, and Mark Kan, to only name a few. All of whom have deeply enriched his understanding of the principles and the practical application of this ancient, empowering and yet accessible science of wellness in daily life.
