Classes are defined by style, but also by level.
Level 1: Open to complete beginners, those in the initial stages of yoga practice or those seeking a gentler asana practice. Experienced practitioners can also benefit from going back to this level and reconnecting with the basics.
Yotopia regularly runs Beginners Yoga courses. This is a great way of learning the basics, in a structured way where you can see progression throughout the course, and build your confidence to attend our Open Level classes.
Open Level (no class level referenced): Open to all levels from beginners to more experienced practitioners. The teacher adapts the class according to the students. However we do recommend that complete beginners attend one (preferably 3 or 4) Level 1 classes before moving on to an Open Level class.
Level 2: Level 2 classes work on a deeper level, introducing more challenging asanas, inversions and backbends. Students should have a good grounding in yoga and a variety of asanas. Not suitable for beginners.
We have a timetable with colour coding for each of the classes which describe best the beginner’s, open level, and intermediate/advanced classes. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to request this timetable to be emailed to you.
